Dr. Leonard Egede, MD, MS, FACP

As President & CEO of UBMD Internal Medicine, the largest department in the UBMD Physicians’ Group, Dr. Egede has an integral role is overseeing the vision, management, strategic planning, and initiatives for the practice plan. He is a nationally recognized leader in primary care with deep experience understanding, developing, and implementing interventions to reduce or eliminate inequalities in health care, especially practices seeking to balance academic mission with clinical productivity and high patient satisfaction. This further enhances his leadership capabilities, the clinical practice he will maintain as a professor of Medicine and general internist, and UB’s commitment to the health of the Western New York community.

Dr. Egede grew up in the central part of Nigeria and knew at the age of 10 he wanted to be a physician. He earned his medical degree from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, where he met his future wife. When she moved back to the United States, he joined her. His master’s is from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also completed a Health Services Research Fellowship. His postgraduate training and fellowship appointments include an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. Most recently, he was Chief of the Division of Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Director of its Center for Advancing Population Science. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 


Sanjay Chadha

Chief Operating Officer

Sanjay Chadha joined UBMD Internal Medicine in January 2020. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Service Line Operations at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he had worked since 2010. During this time, he also served as the Designated Institutional Officer for the Family Medicine Program. Sanjay has also worked for Kaleida Health as the Vice President of Business Operations and the Vice President of Ambulatory Care & Business Development. Prior to Kaleida, he worked at ECMC as the Vice President of Ambulatory & Transplant Services, as well as Assistant Director of Specialty Clinical Services.


Jacqueline DiVincenzo

Jacqueline DiVincenzo
Director of Revenue Cycle Administration

Jacqueline DiVincenzo is the Director of Revenue Administration for UBMD Internal Medicine. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities as they relate to the revenue cycle functions. Jackie joined the team in 2019 and was key in introducing telemedicine billing and policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also led and implemented a new Hospitalist, Provider charge capture system and has improved workflow. Jackie grew up in Kenmore, NY and has spent 35 years in revenue cycle management, being certified in medical coding for over 20. She is also a passionate Buffalo Bills fan!


Pamela Campbell

Pamela Campbell 
Administrator Director of Hospitalist Services

Pamela Campbell is the Administrative Director of Hospitalist Services for UBMD Internal Medicine. She joined the team in 2016 and operationally oversees the non-resident and resident service lines. Growing up in Lockport, NY, Pamela lived there most of her life and went on to play Division 1 volleyball at Robert Morris University. She has two sons with whom she enjoys camping, swimming and entertaining friends. In 2006, she started her career in health care and found her passion for business operations. One of the accomplishments she is most proud of so far with UBMD Internal Medicine is having made great strides in creating hospitalist-related policies and standardizing processes between service lines.
